This book, published by Reader’s Digest Australia in 2016, was originally a German title. The original text was translated by two different translators. I edited the manuscripts to ensure consistency of style and remove any ‘translationese’, and carefully fact-checked the content to ensure it was relevant and appropriate for Australian and New Zealand audiences. I also booked local specialists to consult on specific chapters in the book. Almost all of the original photography changed – I worked closely with the picture researcher so that the new imagery was bright, fresh and engaging.
