My background is illustrated reference books, including architecture, art, astronomy, cookery, craft, design, dinosaurs, DIY, the Earth, gardening, health, history and science. Academic editing subject areas include humanities, creative writing, nursing and law.
Formatting & picture research
Good design can mean the difference between your message getting across or getting lost. I can assist you with your document’s formatting and layout, including typesetting. I can also provide research, including clearing rights and permissions.
Self-publishing expertise
Do you have a book burning within you? Maybe it’s a novel, your memoirs or piece of nonfiction. The route to ‘getting published’ with traditional publishers can feel out of reach … but self-publishing is another option. I can help you with preparing your book for print and liaising with a print-on-demand printer so you can see your hard work in hard copy.
Nutritional analyses
Does your recipe need editing or a nutritional analysis? I am experienced in doing nutritional breakdowns for recipes, as well as adjusting recipes to fit within specific health guidelines (such as heart disease or diabetes).
Briefing & quoting
